The Hardscrabble Hounds are a high energy acoustic roots group based out of Burlington, Vermont. Ranging from rocking string band to old-timey quartet, they play a passionate blend of tunes that make people want to get up and dance. Whether you’re a lyric lover craving mental stimulation, or a rhythym junky seeking a good beat to move your feet, The Hardscrabble Hounds will keep your spirits high. Pulling from such influences as The Band, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, and Woody Guthrie, the Hounds combine superb vocal harmonies, rollicking rhythyms, and original songwriting. With an emphasis on working class heroes, Galante and Gatch deliver soulful performances that speak to the growing divide between the haves and have not’s. The Hounds include Brian Gatch on guitar, harmonica, ukulele and vocals; Nick Galante on mandolin, guitar, drums and vocals; Tucker “Red Cat” Hanson on fiddle; and Matthew Kloss holding it all down on upright and electric bass.

In Example is a free-improv and original music duet comprised of Isaac Luxon & Eliot Cardinaux on guitar and piano respectively. Eliot and Isaac first met in late 2009, and they were immediately drawn into each others’ musical worlds. From their first sporadic sessions, they found a rich collaborative palette already at their fingertips working with sound-sculpture, structurally sonic, and deep-feeling music, as well as meditative improvisations and other explorative compositions. Since then, they have worked together in a variety of musical contexts, throughout the Western Mass and Vermont area.

Bio: "Rising from the ashes of the popular North Carolina band Baby Cowboy, Deep Chatham was formed by guitarist Julian Sikes and upright bassist Jeff Loops. Ferociously talented songwriters, the duo crafted a heavy handful of original songs characterized by driving rhythms, intricate harmonies, and haunting melodies.
They immediately took their act on the road and began a relentless schedule of playing... music festivals, clubs, barrooms, and street corners from the deep south to the edges of the pacific northwest. Arriving in the tiny town of Talkeetna, Alaska, their paths fortuitously crossed with the gifted fiddle and banjo player Matt Heckler. The power of this songwriting trio was immediately apparent and the duo set forth as a power trio.
Arriving home in North Carolina after a series of highly successful shows from San Francisco to Maine, Deep Chatham recorded their long anticipated 2011 album, "Words from the Well". Known for their dedication to their craft and willingness to play anytime, anywhere, the trio sets forth once again in 2012 to conquer fans with their high energy live performances and infectious songs. From the stages of music festivals to your local street corner, keep your eyes and ears open."
