It all began back in 2003. Nick and Kaston met in Jr. High school and played in several bands before starting My Politic in the small town of Ozark, Missouri. They recorded their first album, "A Few Words I Couldn't Find Yesterday" in 2008 at the age of 17 and followed it up with "Not Gone Just Asleep" in 2009 and "Younger Still" in 2010. After playing for years in the Ozark/Springfield MO area, they decided to move out to Boston MA in 2010 and try their luck in a big college city on the east coast. This is where they met the wonderful Eva Walsh and added a third member to the lineup. Eva, a Midwesterner herself, from the great state of Minnesota, graciously found time in her busy schedule to learn the songs, play the shows, and work on the recording of the latest album. Recently, My Politic has been playing countless shows around the Boston area as well as touring in cities like Philadelphia, Atlanta, Nashville, and have been recording the latest batch of songs for an upcoming record!

Sons Of Daughters are on the hustle. Not even two years as a band and they’re about to embark on their 5th DIY tour in support of their 4th DIY recording, “Beyond Animals.” The new CD is by far their most reckless, joyous, and genuine recording to date and their first to feature all original music.
This trio of decorated Berklee and New School grads met in Milwaukee (don’t ask) in April of 2010. But don’t let their stunning pedigree fool you. This ain’t no Downbeat reading, elbow rubbing, Blue Note wannabe college trio. These guys are bona fide road warriors with an agenda: to climb the highest hill, yell the loudest, and to make damn sure that what they’re saying means something.
Patrick Breiner, Aaron Darrell, and Devin Drobka all contribute compositions ranging from wistful rubato ballades to devil may care free jazz avalanches. Breiner’s tenor saxophone and clarinet are augmented by vocals (his own and those of bassist Darrell). Drobka is the wild card, as likely to play with any object within reach as he is to play his drum kit. In short, a helter-skelter new twist on the classic chordless jazz trio.

Andrea is a singer/songwriter, located in Hudson, NY. With a calm yet strong presence, Andrea's songs unleash a vulnerable beauty, expressed by her intricate melodies and choice of lyrics. Andrea brings a sense of stillness, as she lightly arranges songs with guitar and a drone instrument called the shruti box. Calling on places of deep reflection, one is inexorably drawn to listen.

The New Yorker calls this renowned guitarist, songster & spirited live performer "exquisite... He brings a renewed eloquence to the medium." Originally from Charlottesville, VA, Curreri and his uber-talented wife (songwriter Devon Sproule) have now returned to the states after living abroad in Berlin, hanging their hats in Austin, TX. This will mark Curreri’s first visit to the North East in quite some time. He’ll also be celebrating the stateside release of his new album (his eighth), The Big Shitty. If that title puts you off, fear not, as you’ll find Curreri to be quite a charming fellow, and a rather hysterical performer. (He also played the role of Orpheus in Anais Mitchell’s Hadestown opera.) Add a rare 5-STAR review in MOJO, that guitar legend Kelly Joe Phelps produced one of his records, and Time Out London’s referring to Curreri as: “Unruly, poetic, and seductively badass,” and you end up with an appearance not to be missed.

The sound of a piece of music or the image of a work of art is far more powerful and moving than any attempt at a description of that art could be. For this reason, we in The Eggs retain a conviction that the music we create should not be wrestled into a description... our music does all the 'describing' on it's own.
Instead we'd rather share with you our inspiration; the people and ideas that inform our art, the things that challenge us, and a subtle plug for all those who inspire us: George Carlin, Debussy, Fela Kuti, Battles, M. Bouazizi, Kurasawa, Pink Floyd, Rachel Bissex, J.S. Bach, Krishnamurti, Sung Tongs, Carlos Castañeda, Radiohead, Bladerunner, Rosa Parks, Charlie Chaplin, Beethoven, Bill ‘groundhog day, ghost bustin ass' Murray, & bliss. Bliss most of all. We hope to open your eyes, ears, hearts and minds to what we have to offer.
