Like a science experiment gone horribly wrong.... in all the right ways, Up Up We Go! has included a rotating cast of musical characters from far reaches of the globe including France, Australia, Italy, New York and New Orleans, but has all revolved around the soulful singing and imaginative writing of wandering wingnut Madame Salvatore Geloso. Raised in a Sicilian family with musical ancestors, Sal performed opera and musical theater in high school. Over the years he has criss-crossed the country honing his performance busking on street corners and collaborating with an eclectic mix of performers along the way. He was eventually drawn to and deeply inspired by the rich musical gumbo of New Orleans which has had a huge influence on his musical development.
The current lineup features Sal on lead vocals, harmonica, and acoustic guitar, and is filled out by Dan Fancher (Vermont Joy Parade, The Toes) on drums/percussion, and Taylor Smith (Vermont Joy Parade, Sweet Street Symphony, Blue Ribbon Healers) on the upright bass."
