The Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival fosters the artistic growth of committed young violinists, violists, cellists, and pianists within a warm and supportive community. GMCMF is also aware of its responsibility to not simply teach these highly gifted students to perform, but ultimately to teach them to become advocates for their art. Several string quartets, formed during the Festival, will present riveting works for the Radio Bean, and will connect the listeners to the music with descriptions and masterful playing.

Father and Son's music is raw, ambitious, creative and totally rockin, with influences as disparate as Clutch and John Coltrane, trip hop and classical. Made me think of the art rock of King Crimson, or the raw, experimental fun of bands like They Might Be Giants when they were just getting started in the east village of 1980′s NYC.
